6-5-2023 shooting investigation, Tropicana Bradenton plant

Bradenton Police Department detectives are actively looking for a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Tropicana Bradenton plant, 9th St. E., Bradenton. 

At approximately 10:24 p.m. an employee, identified as Demetrius Tyrone Bell, 50, entered the plant and shot another male employee once. Bell then left the plant in a 2015 black Camaro LS with black rims and Florida license plate QUQF97. 

The victim was transported as a trauma alert to an area hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. No other employees were injured, and it is believed the two men were involved in a dispute. Warrants have been issued for Bell, who faces charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
