October 28, 2024

Case #: 2024-008560

Ladarrian L. Carnes, 35, has been arrested for burglarizing Trinity Lutheran Church, 2200 26th St. W., on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Surveillance images show Carnes entering the church office and leaving a short time later. The pastor arrived at the church shortly before Carnes entered but was not in the office. While Carnes was in the building, the pastor’s driver’s license, four credit cards, and cash were removed from her purse.

The pastor reported the crime the following day, after receiving notifications from her banks regarding suspicious activity.

A surveillance photo was posted on BPD’s social media accounts, resulting in several tips. Carnes was arrested and booked into Manatee County Jail on October 28. Carnes faces felony charges of burglary to an occupied structure and fraudulent use of a credit card.
