Fatal crash investigation

Saturday, June 18, 2022, at approximately 7:25 AM, Bradenton PD responded to a crash in the 9600 block of Manatee Ave. W.  

According to officers, a vehicle traveling eastbound on Manatee Avenue crossed into the westbound lanes, where it struck an unoccupied parked car followed by a Manatee County work truck.  BPD officers, Manatee County EMS and Bradenton Fire Department provided life saving measures to the driver of the vehicle, who was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver has been identified as 71-year-old Brad Davis. At this time, it’s believed Mr. Davis experienced a medical episode which caused his death. No one else was injured in the crash.
