Click It or Ticket campaign, May 24-June 6

Date: May 19, 2021

“Click It or Ticket”

Starting on May 24, 2021 and ending June 6, 2021, the Bradenton Police Department will take part in a state-wide campaign focusing on safety belt enforcement called Click It or Ticket. Officers from the Traffic Unit and Patrol will be focusing on enforcement and education for driver and occupant restraint devices.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 9,466 unbuckled passengers were killed in crashes in 2019. To help combat these statistics, the Bradenton Police Department will be conducting targeted enforcement on seatbelts and other restraint devices around the city.

If anyone would like more information, please contact Sergeant Joseph Kelly at (941) 932-9392. You may also contact him at JOSEPH.KELLY@BRADENTONPD.COM for additional information on this enforcement effort.
