June 8, 2023
Case #: 2023-004929
Missing/endangered woman Elecia Nicole Bing, 38, has been located and is safe. Bradenton Police detectives recovered her in Tampa Wednesday night and returned her to Bradenton early Thursday morning to be reunited with her family.
Bing went missing at approximately 10:30 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023. She had last been seen leaving the Tropicana Bradenton plant with her co-worker, Demetrius Tyrone Bell. Bell, 50, entered the plant after his scheduled shift and shot a male co-worker. He then fled the scene, taking Bing with him.
Detectives say Bing did not leave with Bell willingly. She was released by Bell at approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday, uninjured. Bing is not facing any charges.
Detectives continue to look for Bell, who is considered armed and dangerous. Two additional warrants have been filed for Bell, armed kidnapping, and aggravated assault with a firearm. Warrants were previously filed for aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The victim who was shot remains hospitalized.
Anyone with information on Bell’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Jeff Beckley at 941-932-9356 or jeff.beckley@bradentonpd.com. You can also contact the Bradenton Police Department at 941-932-9300.
