Reward increased in 17th St. Ct. E. investigation

Crime Stoppers has increased the reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect in the murder of Dwight Sutton to $9,500. At approximately 7 p.m. on March 19, 2023, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of 17th St. Ct. E. and located Sutton, 56, in front of a residence. Life-saving measures were performed by officers and EMS, but Mr. Sutton was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Anonymous tips must be made to Crime Stoppers of Manatee County, Inc. by June 30, 2023 to be eligible for the enhanced reward, which includes up to $3,000 from Manatee Crime Stoppers, and up to $6,500 from the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers.
