Teen charged with burglary for package thefts

Skyler Davis, 18, of Palmetto, was arrested Thursday, June 20, in connection with a pair of Amazon package thefts on June 17 and June 18.

Davis was caught on home security cameras riding a scooter to homes in two neighborhoods and removing items from their front porches. He wore a black and red motorcycle with a black face shield and a University of South Florida hoodie.

Tips from the community and cooperation with local law enforcement partners helped Bradenton Police detectives identify Davis.

He is charged with two counts of burglary and additional charges are pending.
