Sarasota man arrested for unlawful use of a tracking device (Apple AirTag)

Today, Steven Colon, Sr., 55, of Sarasota, was arrested on a warrant for unlawful installation or use of a tracking device (Apple AirTag). Mr. Colon turned himself in to the Manatee County Jail.

In Florida, using a tracking device to determine the location or movement of another person without consent is a third-degree felony.

BPD's investigation into this case is active and ongoing.

The Bradenton Police Department asks the public for assistance locating Steven Colon, Sr. Colon is wanted in connection with an investigation involving the illegal installation or use of a tracking device, specifically an Apple AirTag.

Colon, Sr., a resident of Sarasota County, operates accounting businesses in Bradenton and Sarasota. Repeated attempts to reach Colon, Sr. at his home and places of business have been unsuccessful.
