Battle of the Badges is back, Nov. 29

The Battle of the Badges is back, with the Bradenton Police Department taking on the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office in the teams’ first meeting on the diamond since 2019. The teams were set to go head-to-head in September, however Hurricane Ian forced the game to be rescheduled.

The second annual Battle of the Badges matchup between the two law enforcement agencies is planned for Tuesday, November 29th, at LECOM Park, with BPD vowing to take back the trophy from the Sheriff’s Office. The true winners, however, will be the charitable arms of each agency. Funds raised during Battle of the Badge will go to the Bradenton Blue Foundation and the Manatee Sheriff’s Charity, Inc.

The Bradenton Blue Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that supports our officers and community by raising funds for specialty training, technology, safety equipment and community outreach programs. This includes funding projects for animal cruelty investigations, outfitting our officers and K9s with ballistic safety equipment, and providing support to the underserved families within the City of Bradenton.

We hope to see you at LECOM Park on November 29th! Gates open at 5PM, and the game starts at 6PM. Tickets are $10 each, and can be purchased at this link or by scanning the QR code below.
