Bradenton Area River Regatta is Saturday, Feb. 11

The 8th Annual Bradenton Area River Regatta is Saturday, February 11, 2023, featuring Powerboat Super League and SST-45 Formula Lights racing, flyboard exhibitions, live music, vendors and a drone light show.

As in previous years, the Bradenton Police Department is partnering with other local law enforcement agencies, under the leadership of the Manatee County Emergency Operations Center, to ensure the safety of participants and spectators, on land and on the Manatee River.

The following roads will be closed from 4 a.m. until approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday:

  • Green Bridge will be closed to traffic, but will remain open to pedestrians, including during the drone show, scheduled for 7 p.m. A free trolley will be accessible on either side of the bridge for travel between Palmetto and Bradenton.

  • 9th St. W. will be closed between Manatee Ave. and the Green Bridge.

  • 12th St. W. (Old Main St.) will be closed between Manatee Ave. and 1st Ave. W./Barcarrota Blvd.

  • 3rd Ave. W. will be open to eastbound traffic only, between 9th St. W. and 1st St./US-41.

Free parking is available in parking garages and parking lots operated by the City of Bradenton. The parking lot located at Rossi Park/Riverwalk is restricted to those with VIP passes.

The U.S. Coast Guard mandates Manatee River restrictions for the Regatta. Boaters must adhere to the no-cross perimeter defined by red buoys in effect during all racing, water activities, and the drone show. Law enforcement will patrol the river to ensure compliance.

First-aid stations will be located on either side of the Manatee River.

Spectators are permitted to bring coolers, chairs, and blankets. Coolers are subject to search at any time.
