Pedestrian struck, killed on 14th St. W.

UPDATE (April 2, 2023): The Bradenton Police Department has identified the victim, however, investigators are still attempting to contact his next of kin. A dark-colored BMW sedan believed to be the suspect vehicle was located. We continue to ask anyone with information in this case to contact us.

The Bradenton Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal, pedestrian-involved hit-and-run crash on 14th St. W.  

At approximately 6:40 AM a vehicle traveling southbound on 14th St. W. struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway near 21st Ave. W. The driver left the scene, continuing southbound. The victim, a white male in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

Preliminary information indicates the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored BMW or Honda with front hood and side damage.
