Homicide investigation UPDATE

November 1, 2022 - The victim in this case is Domingo D. Mendez, of Bradenton.

October 31, 2022 - The victim of Saturday (October 29) night’s shooting passed away Monday evening from his injuries.   

Bradenton Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 11:40 p.m. Saturday, in the 2200-block of 9th St. W. and located the victim, a 41-year-old Hispanic man. Detectives later determined that the victim left the La Barkania Bar and Restaurant, located at 2209 9th St W., shortly before the shooting occurred. He was transported to a local hospital as a trauma alert with grave injuries.
