Officer Jordan Miller performs Silent Night
December 24, 2024
Officer Jordan Miller, a graduate of Bradenton Christian School, began playing the violin in sixth grade. He chose the instrument for its beautiful sound and significance to his mother, who loves to hear the violin. Jordan, a star player on Bradenton Christian's football team, also competed in numerous state music competitions. While many assumed he would pursue football or music in college, Officer Miller followed his childhood dream of becoming a police officer.
Officer Miller graduated from the law enforcement academy and joined the Bradenton Police Department in 2021. He is assigned to our Crime Reduction Team and is a member of our SWAT Team. Jordan also proudly serves on BPD's Honor Guard.
Officer Miller says his career in law enforcement combines his dedication to protecting others with the discipline honed by years of playing music and sports. He says, "My story is one of following passions, embracing purpose, and staying true to the values instilled in me from a young age."
Jordan is accompanied (on piano off camera) by his high school violin teacher, Janet Shell. Janet has a private music studio in Bradenton and founded the music-based ministry "Worship To The Nations."
The video was recorded by BPD at North River Church in Parrish.
